This exhibition is an open themed show designed to showcase the current artwork that is being created by artists in the tri-state region of Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Artists who live and work in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin are eligible to submit works of art they have created within the past two years. Bruce Howdle

Bruce Howdle is a long standing member of the Mineral Point art community in Wisconsin. In addition to his large ceramic mural commissions he also operates Howdle Gallery in Mineral Point. Bruce earned a MFA from Arizona State University at Tempe and a BA from UW Platteville.

Bruce has completed over 30 major ceramic mural commissions for private and public spaces and for governmental and commercial institutions. He has also participated in numerous exhibitions in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa and internationally in Latvia, Finland, Sweden, and New Zealand.

In 2006 he was awarded the Slane Scholar Residency Professorship at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. Since 1994 he has taught at both the University of Wisconsin Madison and at the UW Platteville campus and previously held instructor positions at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and the Navajo Community College in Taisle, Arizona.

The mission of The Freeport Art Museum’s annual Regional Juried Exhibition is to provide an opportunity for contemporary artists living in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin with an opportunity and a venue to debut their latest work. This annual show features art by emerging and established artists from the tri-state region and it builds momentum each year. A wide variety of media is accepted from traditional materials such as painting and sculpture to conceptual and new media techniques including video, interactive media, performance and installation art.

CALL FOR ARTISTS - Regional Juried Exhibition

Open to Artists living in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin

Applications Due: September 7, 2018

Exhibition Dates: Annually from November - February

**Artists are responsible for reading the directions thoroughly.

_Submit entries online with “Entry Thingy” through the link on FAM’s website. Specifications for image files and other entry details are available in the Entry Thing application directions. 
_All artists must be ages 18 or older and reside in Illinois, Iowa or Wisconsin. Artists who submit with a non-IL, IA, or WI address will not be considered by the juror and will not be issued a refund.
_Each artist may submit up to four (4) works for the entry fee of $40. (Current FAM Members qualify for the reduced fee of $30) Tha application fee must be paid online through EntryThingy via PayPal, paying with a credit card if you do not wish to use a PayPal account. Applications will not be considered until the entry fee is received.
_All works must have been completed within the last 2 years.
_Works previously exhibited at the FAM are ineligible.
_Only individual works may be entered: portfolios or series will not be considered.
_Accepted works must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.
