This exhibition is an open themed show designed to showcase the current artwork that is being created by artists in the tri-state region of Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. Artists who live and work in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin are eligible to submit works of art they have created within the past two years. All applications must be submitted online through Entry Thingy and all application fees must be paid through the PayPal button as the final step to submit an application. You may pay through PayPal with credit or debit card if you do not wish to use a PayPal account.
The mission of The Freeport Art Museum’s annual Regional Juried Exhibition is to provide an opportunity for contemporary artists living in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin with an opportunity and a venue to debut their latest work. This annual show features art by emerging and established artists from the tri-state region and it builds momentum each year. A wide variety of media is accepted from traditional materials such as painting and sculpture to conceptual and new media techniques including video, interactive media, performance and installation art.

CALL FOR ARTISTS - Regional Juried Exhibition 13
Open to Artists living in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin
Applications Due: Sept. 8, 2017
Exhibition Dates: Nov. 17, 2017 - Feb. 10, 2018
**Artists are responsible for reading the directions thoroughly.
_Submit entries online with “Entry Thingy” through the link on FAM’s website.
_All artists must be ages 18 or older and reside in Illinois, Iowa or Wisconsin. Artists who submit with a non-IL, IA, or WI address will not be considered by the juror and will not be issued a refund.
_Each artist may submit up to four (4) works for the entry fee of $40. (Current FAM Members qualify for the reduced fee of $30) Tha application fee must be paid online through EntryThingy via PayPal, paying with a credit card if you do not wish to use a PayPal account. Applications will not be considered until the entry fee is received.
_All works must have been completed within the last 2 years.
_Works previously exhibited at the FAM are ineligible.
_Only individual works may be entered: portfolios or series will not be considered.
_Accepted works must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.
_Image dimensions, both the width and length should be between 800-3920 pixels; Please keep image file sizes- below 10 MB and above 700 KB.( If submitting videos, Entry Thing is set to accept 100 MB or under, please call if a larger setting will be needed.)
_**Be sure to upload ALL images be for submitting. Artists will not have access to make changes after the "Submit/PayPal" button is clicked.
_Image files should be saved in JPEG format.
_Include an Artist Statement on your Entry Thingy account.
_Include a Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Art Resume on your Entry Thingy account.
_Works not-for-sale will be listed as NFS, but the artist must still include a value for insurance purposes.
_Accepted pieces will not be substituted and prices may not be changed after submission.
_Artwork is installed by FAM staff. Works requiring special installation, including 2D larger than 5ft. and 3D over 100 lb., are welcome but must be approved before they are submitted.
_2D work must be ready to hang. Works on paper should be behind glass or plexi and must include an appropriate hanging device. Do Not Use Sawtooth Hangers.
_FAM will insure the selected works at the fair market value while on the museum premises, beginning from the delivery dates throughout the pickup dates. Artists are responsible for insurance while the works are in transit.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
_Artists who are notified of their acceptance into the exhibition will receive an exhibition contract with their notification letter. This contract must be completed and presented to museum staff when the work is delivered.
_Artists are expected to attach a typed label identifying the Title, Artist’s full name, and Media, to the back of each art work before it arrives at FAM. All packaging must also have labels to match the artwork it belongs to. (sample tags on the PDF Prospectus above)
_Accepted works may be delivered or shipped to FAM in order to arrive between Oct. 18th and 28th, during regular museum hours. (museum hours Tues-Fri 10-5pm, Sat 12-5pm, CLOSED Sun & Mon)
_Shipped works must arrive in a reusable shipping container. A pre-paid return shipping label and the completed exhibition contract must arrive with the work.
_Accepted works must arrive by 5pm on Friday, Oct. 28th; unless pre-approved by FAM Staff.

September 29, 2017 - Notifications will be sent by to all applicants.
October 24 - 28 & October 31- November 3, 2017 - Artists may deliver their accepted works and the signed exhibition agreement to the Freeport Art Museum during the museum’s regular business hours.
November 17, 2017, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Opening reception and Awards Announcements
November 18, 2016 - Exhibition opens to the public
February 10, 2017, 5 p.m. - Exhibition closes.
February 22 - 25 & February 28 - March 4, 2017 - Artists may pick up their work during our regular business hours or by appointment.
