Community Arts Access Grant 2018
The Freeport Art Museum has been honored, for many years, to have been awarded funding through the Illinois Arts Council Agency's Community Arts Access regranting program.
IACA is a state agency and has also awarded grants from Federal funds through the National Endowment for the Arts for the CAA program. Each year, the Freeport Art Museum adds a 25% match to the awarded funds. These funds are designated to support individuals and not-for-profit organizations in Stephenson, Jo Daviess, Carroll, Ogle and Lee counties who wish to host programs that increase access to the arts. All eligible grant proposals are reviewed by a peer panel comprised of representatives from each of the five counties.
Community Arts Access grants are available for visual, musical, performing, literary and inter-disciplinary arts projects that provide community-based programming. Projects should employ artists from Illinois when possible. Projects or programs must make an effort to serve diverse and underserved audiences will be given priority. Applicants are encouraged to seek funding from a variety of sources. Eligible projects are those taking place between January 1, 2018 and August 31, 2018.
For assistance with completing a grant application, please contact the Freeport Art Museum and ask for Director Jessica J. Modica. Assistance is available to all who need it.
