SCULPTURE WALK
Freeport, Illinois
The inaugural Downtown Sculpture Walk is a dynamic outdoor art experience that brings inspiring works of sculpture to the heart of our community. Led by the Freeport Art Museum in partnership with the City of Freeport’s Arts and Culture Commission, this project transforms Chicago Avenue into an open-air gallery, enriching the cultural fabric of our city.
This year, seven sculptures by local, regional, and national artists will be placed along Chicago Avenue—from Jackson Street to the Freeport Arts Plaza—on the concrete pads installed during the recent Streetscape project. These works will be on loan for a one-year period, with a new selection of sculptures arriving in 2026, creating a vibrant and ever-changing cultural corridor.
