The Freeport Art Museum is pleased to announce the Aspiring Artists Exhibition, which features over 450 works of art created by area students. Opening on Friday February 28 and running through April 2, the exhibition showcases the talent and creativity from grades K – 12 of regional elementary, middle, and high schools. On Friday February 28, the reception will be held from 5 to 7 pm with K – 5 awards at 5:45 pm and 6 – 12 awards at 6:30 pm.

JURORS AND PRESENTERS
This year’s guest jurors are three incredible educators from Highland Community College: Robert Apolloni Instructor of Art & Gallery Director; Loretta Swanson, Instructor of Art & Art History; Sam Tucibat, Instructor of Graphic Design and Communications.

We are also delighted to have Anna Alvarado, Superintendent of FSD145, as our awards presenter!

Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place as well as honorable mention in each age group are sponsored by Blick Art Supplies.
